COVID-19 in Africa: chances or challenges?
In this four-week online course programme, we will delve into the economic, social and cultural effects of the COVID effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in different African regions. Master and PhD students from Africa and Europe will first attend a keynote lecture and then be introduced to interdisciplinary talks – education, economics, medical anthropology, nature conservation etc.- by tandem of experts from both continents. Students will get to choose one of the topics presented by experts and benefit from interdisciplinary workshops in small groups of 10 led by those experts. They will get the opportunity to tackle practical questions, identify the challenges of covid-19 in Africa and work collectively to formulate solution-based responses.
More details can be found in this attachment.
Masters and PhD students enrolled in an accredited university in South Africa should submit a CV and Motivation Letter (no more than 300 words) to email@example.com by 10 January, 2021. Additional questions may be addressed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
